Fifteenth of December south of Metro Manila? Yes, everyone had been forewarned, but no potential payday, nothing could stop the entire staff of DAILY TRIBUNE from making their way to the sprawling Ayala Alabang home of the media organization's owners, Willie and Chingbee Fernandez.
If only for that kind of enthusiasm and dedication, the DT family may rightly lay claim to the office celebration's theme, "Keep Shining!"
Silver and gold crowned the celebrations as the DAILY TRIBUNE reveled in a glittering Christmas soiree, with shiny, shimmery outfits (one of them literally and figuratively "lit") casting a bright glow over the festive mood.
A bountiful spread included lechon baka, giving off a delicious aroma over the vast garden; holiday staples jamon and queso, pan de sal; well-loved Filipino dishes, steaming hot rice; a variety of pastas, pizzas, Arce Dairy ice cream, cakes and kakanins; overflowing drinks and various other treats that kept everyone happily munching throughout the evening.
The warmth of camaraderie enveloped the place in spite of the damp air brought by an oncoming monsoon. Blessings poured in the form of heartfelt moments, thoughtful gift exchanges, engaging games and exciting raffle prizes amid the raindrops.
The accents of gold and silver symbolized the everlasting brilliance that comes from harmony, friendship and the shared spirit of joy that just keeps on shining.
