Around 200 families lost their homes and one fire volunteer was injured when an early dawn fire on Tuesday hit the Happyland village in Tondo, Manila.
According to Manila Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)the fire started at 3:09 a.m., went up to fourth alarm and was declared fire out at 6:57 am.
The injured fire volunteer was identified as Christian Gracio, who suffered a cut in his left arm.
Another reported injured, Jessary Disierto, fainted and lost consciousness due to an asthma ailment and was brought to the Gat. Andres Bonifacio Hospital for treatment.
Fire victims temporarily stayed at the Barangay 105 covered court while their area is being cleared by fire fighters.
