The Bureau of Immigration once again reminded all travelers, both foreign and local, to register in the eTravel system before arriving or departing from the country's ports of entry and exit.
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco emphasized that eTravel registration is mandatory for all travelers, as it facilitates border control and streamlines the travel experience.
"eTravel registration, which can be done through the official website https://etravel.gov.ph/ or the eGov PH app, improves border control services and provides travelers with a hassle-free travel experience," Tansingco said.
He also urged airlines to cooperate with the implementation of the program, as it is their responsibility to inform passengers about the mandatory eTravel registration.
"We have sent reminders to airline companies to remind passengers to register on the eTravel platform before arriving or departing from the country," Tansingco stated.
The BI is also working on acquiring eTravel kiosks to allow individuals without smartphones or Internet access to register on the spot.
