Mayor Honey Lacuna has urged residents of Manila to take advantage of the discounts offered by the city government for early payment of their real property taxes.

The mayor has instructed City Treasurer Jasmin Talegon to establish a schedule of discounts for Real Property Tax for tax year 2024.

According to Lacuna, taxpayers who make advance payments until 10 December 2023, will receive a 20 percent discount, while payments made from 11 to 29 December will qualify for a 15 percent discount.

For prompt payments made from 1 to 31 January 2024, taxpayers will be entitled to a 10 percent discount.

"Real property owners in Manila are encouraged to avail of these discounts on their tax obligations," Mayor Lacuna emphasized. However, she emphasized that only accounts without delinquencies will be eligible for these discounts.

For updated accounts, payments can be made online through the Go Manila app or the website http://www.gomanila.com.

For those with delinquent accounts, payments can be made via over-the-counter transactions at the E-BOSS center at the Manila City Hall, according to the mayor.
