The Commission on Elections reported on Monday that a shooting incident took place in Maguindanao while conducting the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
According to the report of Comelec, two victims were found dead lying on the side of the road who sustained multiple gunshot wounds along the road of Cotabato-Shariff Aguak at Barangay Bugawas, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
The victims were identified as Juhaimin Ube and Alias "Mistake" were confirmed dead, while four other individuals identified as Mohaldin Solaiman, Jerik Alon, Nasrudin Salik, and Harong Tating were confirmed wounded in the shooting incident.
The Police Regional Office of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region identified the alleged suspects for the shooting incident as Romar Abas alias "Mok" (gunman), Keds Lidasan alias "Keds" (gunman), Michael Abas, and Teng Kapaya.
The victims were rushed to Dinaig District Hospital for medical attention. The Regional Field Unit of BARMM has requested the processing of crime scenes and hot pursuits against the suspects in the shooting incident.
