‘He’s the one who assured me that come what may he’ll be there for my sons, and the friend who until now fights my battles with me,’ said Aquino of her friend and former TV colleague.

Kris Aquino, still in the United States getting treatment for her illness, recently met with her "other brother," the King of Talk, Boy Abunda, and she took to social media to celebrate the reunion.
Aquino shared their get-together through a series of photos on her Instagram account, revealing that Abunda was moved to tears upon learning the extensive medical treatments she is undergoing to combat her autoimmune diseases.
"Nagkuwento pa lang ako ng pinagdadaanan kong mga treatment at 'yung at least 18 pieces of vitamins, supplements as well as medicine to help prevent my migraines and protect my liver because of my chemotherapy and, of course, my antihistamines… parang the whole three hours Boy was here, he was stopping himself from crying pero bumigay din sya talaga (I just talked about the treatments I'm going through and at least 18 pieces of vitamins, supplements as well as medicine to help prevent my migraines and protect my liver because of my chemotherapy and, of course, my antihistamines… The whole 3 hours Boy was here, he was stopping himself from crying but he eventually gave in)," she added.
Beyond the emotional moment, Aquino took the opportunity to wish Abunda a happy birthday. She expressed her deep appreciation for his unwavering support and friendship through the years, referring to him as "the keeper of all my secrets, the one who assured me that come what may he'll be there for my sons, and the friend who until now fights my battles with me."
"To my other brother, I love you completely," she declared.
This reunion came on the heels of another visit, this time by Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu, who starred with Aquino in the 2015 movie Etiquette for Mistresses.
Aquino, who earlier this year confirmed that she is contending with five autoimmune conditions, was for many years in a star tandem with Abunda as hosts of highly rated showbiz TV programs.
