Dutch Post-Impressionist artist Vincent van Gogh's works have been displayed all over the world but never quite like the ongoing exhibition at the Bonifacio Global City's Arts Center.
Van Gogh Alive is a large-scale immersive experience that has inspired over nine million people in more than 100 cities worldwide. The digital spectacular, which opened on 20 October, aims to touch the lives of Filipinos with the many ways arts can.
"We insist in as many ways as we could on the imperative that arts and science should be part of our lives. Having it (Van Gogh Alive) here in the Philippines, the motivation of our foundation is to not only ride on the fantastic trend but also Filipinos can take on this traveling immersive treasure without having to go elsewhere," Maria Isabel Garcia, managing director and curator of the Bonifacio Art Foundation, said.
Through this exhibit, Van Gogh's masterpieces come to life, giving visitors the sensation of walking right into his paintings. At the Introduction Hall, a moving musical score is played in the background while the artist's life is told through Grande Experiences' Sensory4™ Technology. It echoes Van Gogh's journey across five stages of his career, starting from The Netherlands, Paris, Arles, Saint-Rémy and Auvers-sur-Oise to Self-Portraits.

high-definition projectors to provide one of the most exciting multiscreen environments. This latest innovation can transform any exhibition space to a dynamic, informative and visually spectacular experience by projecting 3,000 detailed images flowing through massive screens, merging it with digital surround sound to saturate the space in a breathtaking immersive display.
Be part of Van Gogh's story by drawing some of his famous artworks at the Art Studio. Capture photos at the Sunflower Mirror Room and Vincent's Bedroom which is a replica of his humble abode in the Yellow House in Arles, France.
"Van Gogh Alive is a fascinating, cohesive story about one of the greatest known artists in history. It touches you on so many levels whoever you are. It is faithful to its promise to immerse you into the artist's work, with glimpses into an inner life that led to his captivating masterpieces. Van Gogh Alive will hold you long beyond your visit," Garcia said.
Van Gogh Alive is open Tuesdays to Sundays; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends. A two-hour pass is priced at P1,200 (adult), P890 (child/student up to college level); and Premium Flex Pass: P2,500 (adult/child).
