The International Association of Business Communicators Philippines is pleased to announce its partnership with the prestigious Makati Business Club for the upcoming Triple "P" Awards.
This collaborative effort underscores the significance of communication in promoting sustainability and corporate social responsibility within the Philippine business landscape.
Through this partnership, MBC members will be actively encouraged to participate and submit their entries for the Triple "P" Awards. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to access industry-leading speakers and resource persons who can share their valuable insights on sustainability.
Invited to nominate
MBC members will also be invited to nominate deserving individuals to become part of the Triple "P" Awards evaluators.
The Triple "P" ESG Awards aim to recognize companies that go beyond mere compliance and quantitative data. This prestigious platform provides businesses with an opportunity to share best practices and learn from industry leaders across various sectors.
"Recognizing outstanding achievements in corporate sustainability and responsible business practices through the Triple "P" Awards is a significant milestone in being the very first ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) — focused award initiated by the Philippine chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators," said Belle Tiongco, president of IABC PH.
"The ambition of IABC PH is to be a thought leader in this category. ESG is one area where strategic communication is necessary and which, we believe will pose many challenges for organizations and their communication practitioners," Tiongco added.
In recent years, companies in the Philippines have demonstrated an increasing commitment tosustainability and ESG initiatives.
Role of effective communication
Consequently, the role of effective communication in highlighting the sustainability stories and impacts of these companies has become absolutely essential. To address this need, IABC PH, in collaboration with Deloitte Philippines, has initiated the Triple "P" ESG Awards for People, Planet and Progress.
Melody del Rosario, chairperson of the sustainability committee of IABC PH, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "As an organization dedicated to setting the standard of excellence in the field of business communications, IABC wishes to emphasize the integral role that ESG reporting plays in integrating sustainable value creation into the core strategies of businesses. We are thrilled to join forces with the Makati Business Club for the Triple "P" ESG Awards. This collaboration will undoubtedly enhance the visibility and impact of these awards, and we look forward to celebrating the remarkable sustainability journeys of outstanding companies in the country."
The Makati Business Club was organized by top businesses and executives in 1981 to engage with government and civil society on national issues.
