SSS cites 7 firms in Las Piñas as delinquent employers

The Social Security System's Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) campaign on Thursday has again cited seven firms as delinquent employers.

The SSS Las Piñas, NCR South Division, reported that it had issued notices of violations to delinquent employers situated in the Almazan and Talon Tres areas of Las Piñas.

The erring employers incurred a total of P3.81 million in delinquencies, consisting of P2.47 million in unpaid contributions and P1.34 million in penalties, as 69 employees were affected.

The employers, according to SSS, are two construction firms, a solid and waste management firm, a convenience store, a medical laboratory, a toys and souvenir manufacturer, and an air-conditioning contractor. These seven firms were cited for non-remittance of monthly contributions.

The construction firm topped the highest delinquency with P1.36 million, broken down into more than P555,000 unpaid workers' contributions and over P804,000 in penalties. Based on SSS records, the establishment failed to remit the Social Security contributions of six of its employees from September 1998 to December 2022.

The RACE Campaign of SSS is an activity conducted to ensure that employers are complying with their obligations as stipulated in Republic Act No. 11199 or the Social Security Act of 2018.
