First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos on Sunday expressed her heartfelt emotions while spending time with the Filipino community in Singapore as President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his wife visited the country.

Their visit was marked by warmth and camaraderie as they arrived at Lucky Plaza Mall at around noon to say hello to overseas Filipinos who usually gather at the mall for Filipinos along Orchard Road in Singapore.

"It warms my heart to be with our fellow countrymen in Singapore," Araneta-Marcos said in an Instagram post.

In a separate statement, Malacañang said the overseas Filipinos whom the President met could not contain their excitement and eagerness upon seeing the chief executive and felt honored that the President made time to visit them.

"We are very happy because we personally saw our President," an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) said.

They also expressed their continued support for the Marcos administration as they are extremely satisfied with the current developments and changes in the Philippines.

"We hope that the progress in the Philippines continues. We're happy with the changes in the Philippines," another OFW said.

"Good luck and always take care. We're hoping that our country becomes a very successful nation," another OFW remarked when asked for a message to the President.

"I love BBM so much," another OFW added.

President Marcos always visits Filipino communities whenever he travels to other countries.

On the other hand, the OFWs are grateful that the President never forgets them.

"It's overwhelming… because you don't normally get to encounter the President, right? So, it's a very fortunate opportunity to see him up close, to touch him. It's a privilege," an OFW said.

"Good health and more wisdom so that he can boost our economy, and we have trust in the government. Thank you!" the OFW hoped for the President and the government.

Marcos was invited to speak at the Milken Institute's Asia Summit in Singapore on his 66th birthday, where he addressed top business and economic managers about important policies and initiatives.

The President met with representatives of India's GMR during his visit to Singapore, and they expressed an interest in funding airports, highways, and energy projects in the Philippines.

Singapore's Dyson multinational technology business has also promised to invest P11 billion in the Philippines over the next two years.

Similarly, Malaysian retail expert Valiram Group is considering boosting operations in the Philippines by building airport shops for duty-free shopping tourism.
