ALABAMA — Pauline del Rosario will once again lead a small bunch of Filipino shot-makers on a hunt for a title when the Guardian Championship kicks off Friday here.
The 24-year-old Del Rosario, the country's newest campaigner in the tough Epson Tour, will tee off 7 a.m. local time at the Capitol Hill Golf Club in Prattville.
Joining her in the hunt in the $200,000 meet are Clariss Guce, Chanelle Avaricio, Abegail Arevalo and Samantha Bruce.
Bruce will likewise start the round at 7 a.m., while Arevalo begins 7:10 a.m.; Avaricio 8:28 a.m.; and Guce 12:24 p.m.
Del Rosario and Guce wound up tied for 23rd during Black Desert last week in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Maria Torres of Puerto Rico won the meet last year with a 14-under total, while Guce placed tied for second. Arevalo was tied for fourth back then.
