The Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines-Mimosa Open is having a bumper crop of fresh new talents when it kicks off Saturday.
The JGFP said 170 participants have signed up for the tournament that will be held in Clark, Pampanga.
The list of entries was closed one week before the meet and there was still a long line on the waiting list.
The event is serving as a lead-up for the much-anticipated JGFP Inter-School set to begin next month at six different golf courses in the country.
"For our remaining tournaments, winners will represent the country to the Hainan Youth grand finals in China and the Thai Junior World in Royal Hua Hin on 25-28 October," said JGFP president Oliver Gan.
