DAVAO CITY — Presidential Assistant for Eastern Mindanao Leo Tereso Magno said that they are seeking to achieve an infrastructure development that is environment-friendly for Mindanao.

Speaking during the opening of the PHILCONSTRUCT Mindanao 2023 Expo last 7 September Magno said that the construction industry is booming in Mindanao which was started by former President Rodrigo Duterte and is now being continued by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

"As we all know, Mindanao is a beautiful place, and all of us Mindanaoans are hoping that we can preserve that beauty amidst the innovations," said Magno.

The country's largest construction trade show series mounted its third leg for the year here and the three-day construction expo which will run until 9 September will gather more than 1,000 of the most prominent industry leaders and suppliers not just from Mindanao but also from other parts of the country to showcase products and services that meet the requirements of domestic and international markets.

Indoor and outdoor displays from around 120 exhibitors are the main highlights, providing insights and demonstrating the latest innovations and trends in the construction industry.

"As the Expo showcases the innovations of the construction industry bringing advanced technologies used internationally, we can now build infrastructures which will also preserve the beauty of our nature," Magno said.

He added that the Philippine Constructors Association plays a big role in achieving a better Philippines.

"Construction equates to development and development equates to economic stability. Your role in the private sector is a big help for us in the government. Your group now has become a partner for nation-building that embodies excellence," said Magno.
