Chanelle Avaricio shot a one-under-par 71 to boost her chances of making the second stage of the LPGA Tour Qualifying School in Rancho Mirage, California.
Avaricio, who finally broke par after three days, minimized her mistakes as she fired two birdies against a bogey to forge a tie for the 68th spot on 1-under 215.
So far, she has made only four bogeys in 54 holes at the Arnold Palmer course.
On the same note, Savannah Grewal led the tournament on 15-under 201 after a 66 also at Arnold Palmer.
The Top 125 and ties will advance to the second stage.
Amateur Tomi Arejola, meanwhile, was well inside the cut after a brilliant 69 at the Dinah Shore tournament course. She had four birdies against a single bogey to move to a tie for 99th on 1-over 217. The projected cut was pegged at 2-over.
Three other Filipinas were just outside the projected cut on 2-over.
Former Asian Games gold medalist Lois Kate and Sunshine Baraguiel were on 3-over following a 73 and 74, respectively.
