UNITED KINGDOM — With a spate of impressive finishes lately, Miguel Tabuena is expected to go for no less than the title when the St. Andrews Bay Championship begins Thursday.
The current Asian Order of Merit No. 2 finished T9 last week in the International Series England, hoping he could use that impetus in the meet slated at Fairmont St. Andrews (Torrance Course).
Joining Tabuena in the hunt in the $1.5 million tournament are fellow Filipinos Angelo Que, Lloyd Go and Justin Quiban.
Ranked 489 in the world, Tabuena also finished T9 in the Kolon Korea Open, just after he captured the DGC Open in India last March.
