Aaron Velez returns as head coach of Chery Tiggo with the club hoping to revive its old glory in the Premier Volleyball League.
The Crosssovers announced the appointment of the same mentor that steered the squad to the Open Conference throne two years ago in a social media post on Monday night.
Velez, who replaced Clarence Esteban, will be calling the shots for Chery Tiggo once again but will be handling a revamped roster when action in the third season of the country's first and only women's professional volleyball league begins next month.
He will be making his comeback in the All-Filipino Conference set to unwrap on 4 February after his last coaching stint with the team last year in the Open Conference where the Crossovers finished eighth.
Velez was promoted as team manager and was replaced by Esteban.
He will take over a team that has already parted ways with prized winger Dindin Santiago-Manabat and will again miss the services of Jaja Santiago, who is playing in the Japan V.League.
Chery Tiggo finished last in the Invitational Conference and fourth in the Reinforced Conference last year.
The Crossovers signed Ponggay Gaston, Seth Rodriguez and Bingle Landicho with Mylene Paat, Buding Duremdes, EJ Laure and Shaya Adorador as key holdovers.
