Wearing shoes to refresh the memory

Phones sounding off, car horns blaring, loud chatter while waiting to get morning coffee, endless meetings, and project deadlines can be unnerving.

But not if you're wearing shoes to remember why you're doing things in the first place. The Adidas Basketball 2023 collection aims to be that footwear.

Though designed, as the campaign's website blurbs say, "For the modern athlete while building on pillars of the past, the new collection establishes its versatility by focusing on the essentials: Form, function, and color. The result is a pinnacle assortment that serves to empower and inspire on our journey back to our first 'Why,' whether it was on the hardwood, in a classroom, on stage, or at home."

At the collection's recent launch at the Adidas Glorietta 3 store hosted by Gab Reyes, a runway had sand on the floor resembling a boardwalk as models strutted in sweats, track pants, shirts, shorts, and other items to enhance the featured shoes.

"You never forget the first time you pick up a basketball," said Eric Wise, Adidas Basketball's global general manager. "That day connected me to the game forever. At Adidas Basketball, we believe that possibilities are endless when you know your why. We hope this new era of Adidas Basketball will remind everyone that the most important part of doing anything is why you started in the first place."
