I flew home to Davao, this time, and for the first time, took Cebu Pacific Airline with a firm resolve to tackle the illegal entry of PNB Credit Cards all the way to the court.
PNB canceled my credit card on my request and later issued me a new one. I was scheduled to travel abroad so a credit card would be handy. I had it activated.
Last October I flew to Singapore with my family via Cebu Pacific. The fare was cheaper compared to PAL. In Singapore, I treated my wife Jay, who is celebrating her birthday, to a stay at Marina Bay Sands and dinner at the Lavo Italian Restaurant on the rooftop of that iconic hotel.
It was pricy but who cares, my wife should have her wish, and it's cheaper than buying a condo. I used my new PNB Credit Card to settle the bill.
Three weeks ago PNB Credit Card sent me a dollar statement of account for some purchases I made for the kids.
I promptly paid. Subsequently, I was surprised to receive a text message advising me to expect a statement for yet another dollar account.
I downloaded the statement and was surprised to see that it was for a hotel bill from CCI Hotel Residence in the USA. The statement also billed me for a late change debit adjustment.
This week, I received two additional statements for varied transactions. This time using different card numbers. Any way you look at it, it's patently a scam.
Last week, I received a message from PNB Credit Cards that they are sending me a replacement card in lieu of the recent one which I ordered to be canceled.
I clearly directed them not to issue me another card until after they have cleared the dubious transactions. But for one reason or another, they had another one issued. I told myself these guys are up for another mischief.
I am writing this to warn others who might be victims of the PNB Credit Cards anomaly.

What happened is undoubtedly a scam and PNB just allowed the victims to be hoodwinked.
I hope El Capitan Lucio Tan orders a thorough investigation of what is happening with PNB Credit Cards.
