The Philippine government is optimistic that Australia will support the ASEAN TVET Council to further bolster the promotion of technical vocational education and training in the region.

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority director general Danilo Cruz said that they are positive that the meeting will fast track the goal for more robust regional convergence initiatives on human resource development.

He also expressed gratitude to Australian government for its continued collaboration with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in skills development, especially in today's digital age.
