Jungkook is taking on the World Cup.
The youngest BTS member is among the performers at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as announced by his management Big Hit Entertainment.
Besides that, he will be releasing a new song for its soundtrack.
The FIFA World Cup will open on 20 November with a total of 32 teams in participation.
This isn't the first time the 25-year-old K-pop idol worked on a project without his co-BTS members. He recently released "My You" as a gift for their fans, the ARMYs. In 2020, he put out "Still with You" which marks his first solo single.
The announcement of Jungkook's latest endeavor comes after another BTS member, RM, released his first solo album Indigo which is slated on 2 December, and Jin's "The Astronaut" with British band Coldplay.
