The Ninoy Aquino International Airport runways opened flight operations on Saturday evening, 29 October after being closed for 6 hours due to the heavy rains and strong winds brought by Typhoon Paeng.
The Manila International Airport Authority is expecting flight operations to normalize as typhoon Paeng continues its movement away from Metro Manila.
The reopening however was met by heavy rains posing a challenge to flight landing and take off. The first aircraft to land was Oman Air flight WY843 at 2320H.
Passengers are advised to closely coordinate with the airline for updates.
