Far Eastern University bounced back from a lackluster start as it turned back San Sebastian College, 15-25, 25-14, 25-10, 25-16, to notch its first win in three starts in the V-League Women's Collegiate Challenge at the Paco Arena in Manila on Friday.

Chenie Tagaod unleashed a 15-point game, including 12 attacks and three blocks, while Barbie Jamili and Miltzi Panangin scored 11 points each for the Lady Tamaraws, who broke into the win column in Pool A action after bowing to Adamson University and Ateneo de Manila University.

"We really prepared to recover, not just from our losses but also from the health issues that hounded the team the past nine days," FEU head coach Tina Salak said.

"So, coming into this game, we made sure that everybody is healthy. I commend the girls for pushing their best to perform despite of their health conditions."

The Lady Tamaraws struggled in the opening set but regrouped and dominated the next two to wrest control.

FEU took nine of the first 11 points in the fourth frame and never looked back, padding its lead to 17-7 on a Tagaod hit.

Jamili then finished off the Lady Stags by scoring three of the Lady Tamaraws' last four points.

Kristine Dionisio came through with 14 points while Kath Antos and Tina Marasigan added nine and eight points, respectively, for San Sebastian, which fell to 0-3.
