Mayor John Rey Tiangco once again led the groundbreaking of two more public school buildings in Navotas, Thursday.
Tanza Elementary School will soon have a new four-storey building with 12 classrooms, while North Bay Boulevard Elementary School will also have a new building with 20 classrooms.
"We want to ensure the availability of enough classrooms to accommodate Navoteño students now that in-person classes in most of our public schools are already in full swing," the mayor said.
"We hope to give our students the opportunity to enjoy their time in school following years of being cooped up at home by providing them a comfortable and conducive environment for learning," he added.
Navotas started the construction of nine four-storey buildings this year.
Navotas National High School, Daanghari and Tangos Elementary Schools had groundbreaking ceremonies in September, followed by Kaunlaran High School and San Roque, Dagat-dagatan and San Rafael Village Elementary Schools on 7 October.
In March 2021, Navotas inaugurated 11 school buildings with a total of 128 classrooms.
