Mala is the hot recipe behind Subway's new chicken sandwich. One of the most popular flavors in China and many parts of Asia, the spicy blend is made from chili peppers, aromatics, garlic, ginger, star anise, cinnamon, and cardamom, and mixed with Sichuan peppercorns.

Subway's Chicken Mala sub is available until 31 December or until supply lasts.
