A total of P272,000.00 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated from five drug suspects including a couple after they were arrested in separate buy bust operations in Valenzuela City, overnight.
According to Valenzuela Police chief Col. Salvador Destura Jr., around 7:30 in the evening on Sunday, when operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Valenzuela Police led by PLt. Joel Madregalejo conducted a buy bust operation along Karen Avenue, Brgy. Gen T De Leon.
The operatives immediately grabbed Richard Alejandrino, 49 and his wife Jeanette Alejandrino, 48, both of Maysan Road, after they sold P45,000.00 worth of drugs to the police who served as poseur buyer.
About 35 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P238,000.00, buy-bust money, cellphone and P300.00 worth of money were confiscated from the couple.
Meanwhile, at 1:45 am when the other SDEU team also arrested in the buy bust operation in Brgy. Mapulang Lupa the three identified as Marianne Salas, 37; Randy Delos Santos, 40; and Jeffer Hardy Garcia, 47.
Recovered from the suspects was an estimated five grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P34,000.00; P500.00 buy-bust money; coin purse; P500.00 recovered money and a cellphone.
The suspects will be charged with violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
