In line with his commitment to support vulnerable sectors amid the ongoing pandemic, Sen. Bong Go sent aid to more than a hundred struggling residents in Mandaluyong City on Friday, 23 September.
Go's outreach team conducted the relief activity at the barangay hall of Addition Hills where they handed out masks and snacks to 200 residents. They also provided cellular phones, shoes, bicycles, and balls for basketball and volleyball to some.
Furthermore, a team from the Department of Social Welfare and Development provided livelihood grants to the residents under its Sustainable Livelihood Program.
"Salamat po sa DSWD sa programang SLP-LAG. Bibigyan ho kayo puhunan, tuturuan ho kayong magnegosyo, tuturuan ho kayong palaguin ang inyong negosyo," Go expressed in his video message.
Go, who serves as Chair of the Senate Committee on Health, also took the opportunity to encourage all eligible yet unvaccinated residents to get their complete vaccine and booster shots.
He likewise urged everyone to remain vigilant and compliant with the preventive health measures against the virus.
