As part of the preparations to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Qatar Media Portal was launched. The new digital platform will give media representatives and broadcasters attending the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 access to a wide range of resources compiled by the host country to help them operate at this year's tournament.
The portal, which can be accessed through media.qatar2022.qa, will also provide a one-step-shop for Hayya entry.
Media and broadcast representatives attending FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 can only obtain their filming and photography permits through the said platform.

A significant part of that group will be accredited by the host country. While FIFA-accredited media will focus their coverage on the matches, press conferences, and training sessions while host country-accredited media will focus on the social and cultural elements of the tournament, the history and traditions of Qatar, and its current and future development aspirations.
While host country-accredited media will not have access to official tournament-specific sites, such as World Cup stadiums, the Main Media Centre or the International Broadcast Centre, they will have access to quality media facilities, including the Host Country Media Centre and broadcast studios, which will cater to their professional needs.
