Takeout food is still preferred by busy people who want to eat in the comfort of their home or workplace.

A working woman in Kwai Chung, Hong Kong ordered satay beef rice noodles at Wa Jer Restaurant and took it to her office on 7 September, The Standard (TS) reported.

When she opened the takeaway container, she found a small rat swimming in the satay sauce, according to TS.

The woman took a video of the tainted food and shared it on social media to warn others. She also lodged a complaint with the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department.

The restaurant’s owner, Mike, told Sing Tao Headline that he had never had an incident involving a rat or insect in a takeaway order, TS reports. He added that the restaurant would increase the frequency of its pest control measures following the incident.

Meanwhile, in Houston, Texas, USA, Kiante Matlock ordered a hamburger from the delivery service DoorDash.

Matlock was playing a video game when his daughter alerted him to a phone notification from DoorDash that his Burger King order had arrived, Fox News reports.

He first looked through his Ring doorbell camera and was shocked at what he saw. The delivery driver was “completely naked.” By the time Matlock got to the door, the DoorDash driver was gone.

He did not eat the delivered food but reported it to DoorDash, which refunded his order, according to Fox News.

“This man’s behavior was vulgar and completely unacceptable, and as soon as we were made aware, our team permanently removed his access to our platform,” a DoorDash spokesperson told Fox News, referring to the naked delivery guy.
