Malabon retains ISO certification

The local government of Malabon successfully maintained its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification after international auditors recorded zero nonconformities across municipal operations during a three-day surveillance audit, city officials announced.
Auditors from TÜV Rheinland Philippines conducted the surveillance review from 6 to 8 October, evaluating municipal compliance against international governance and service standards without recording a single operational violation or criteria deficiency.
Malabon City Mayor Jeanie Sandoval praised city personnel for the audit performance, describing the result as validation of the local government’s commitment to efficient and dependable public service.
City Administrator Alex Rosete stressed that municipal departments must maintain strict adherence to standardized procedures and administrative workflows to sustain public trust.
The three-day inspection evaluated 45 departments, offices, and administrative units spanning six major municipal facilities, including the Malabon City Hall, Anti-Drug Abuse Office, Malabon Polytechnic Institute, City University of Malabon, City Library, and Ospital ng Malabon.
Audit teams confirmed the city’s continued certification and issued recommendations to further optimize public administration procedures and digital governance frameworks across municipal offices.
