Five-peat-seeking National University (NU) braces for Letran College’s tough resistance when the two unbeaten teams clash for the solo lead in Pool A of the 2026 Shakey’s Super League Unity Cup on Friday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
Lady Bulldogs head coach Norman Miguel sees the reigning National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) champion Lady Knights as one of the biggest threats to their reign.
Miguel knows that even with NU’s advantage in depth and firepower, Letran is not a team to be taken lightly when they meet at 3 p.m. as action in the league’s centerpiece competition resumes after an 11-day break.
“Letran, being the NCAA champion, has gained so much experience and we know they can use it during the game. So there’s no reason to be complacent,” Miguel said.
The Lady Bulldogs had a dominating start in their title-retention bid, sweeping past San Beda University, 25-14, 25-19, 25-18, last 26 September.
