Self-service cash machines puts customer convenience first

Microfinancial giant Cebuana Lhuillier is expanding its automated service offerings across its nationwide branch network through the deployment of self-service Cash Accepting Machines (CAMS), the company announced.
Developed in partnership with electronic payment system provider ECPay, the kiosks allow customers to complete cash-in transactions, purchase mobile load, pay utility bills, and top up digital accounts.
The automated kiosks will roll out across Cebuana Lhuillier's network of more than 3,500 physical branches nationwide.
"Our goal is to make every interaction with Cebuana Lhuillier as convenient and seamless as possible," said Cebuana Lhuillier president and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier. "CAMS gives our customers more choice in how they complete everyday transactions while allowing us to bring practical, technology-enabled services closer to the communities we serve."
Company executives said the integration of automated kiosks aims to streamline in-branch traffic and reduce counter wait times for routine transactions while maintaining traditional agent assistance for core services such as pawning and money remittances.
"This is how we see innovation working at the branch level, using technology to expand what customers can access while preserving the reach and familiarity of Cebuana Lhuillier," said senior executive vice president Philippe Andre Lhuillier.
The rollout forms part of the financial services provider's digital transformation strategy to upgrade its physical footprint into multi-service transaction hubs across urban centers and rural municipalities.
