Binay submits proposed P20-B 2027 Makati budget

Makati Mayor Nancy Binay submitted a proposed P20-billion executive budget for 2027 to the Sangguniang Panlungsod on Thursday, meeting the submission requirement weeks ahead of the statutory deadline.
Under the Local Government Code, local chief executives have until 16 October to transmit proposed annual budgets to their respective city councils for review and approval.
Social services, public healthcare, education, and disaster risk reduction and management comprise the largest allocations in the proposed financial plan, reflecting the city’s key expenditure priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.
Binay credited city department heads, budget planners, and local stakeholders for coordinating the early delivery of the financial proposal to the council.
