CAVITE — House Committee on Ecology Chair and Cavite 8th District Rep. Aniela Bianca D. Tolentino has called for urgent government intervention in Naic’s mounting garbage problem, saying the municipality’s situation highlights the need to reduce waste generation rather than rely mainly on disposal.

In a privilege speech at the House of Representatives, Tolentino cited Naic Mayor Rommel Magbitang’s appeal for national government assistance as she urged the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the Department of the Interior and Local Government, and other concerned agencies to help the municipality identify immediate, legally compliant solutions.
