The Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) reminded employers in the Davao region to implement the final tranche of the mandated minimum wage increase that took effect 1 September 2026.

The adjustment stems from Wage Order No. RB XI-24, issued by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-XI in February.

Under the second tranche, daily minimum wages for agricultural workers increased to P525 from P515, while non-agricultural workers saw their pay rise to P540 from P525.

The first tranche of the order took effect 13 March, raising daily rates for farm workers to P515 from P505 and non-agricultural employees to P525 from P510.

The DoLE disclosed that proper implementation is a shared responsibility among the government, employers and workers to advance decent work, protect rights and foster sustainable economic growth.

Labor inspectors will verify compliance with the order’s provisions during routine workplace inspections across the region.
