Cebuana Lhuillier Rural Bank has earned a Bronze Stevie Award for Purpose-Led Marketing Campaign of the Year at the 23rd Annual International Business Awards for its "Ipon Moves" savings advocacy.
The campaign was recognized for addressing financial preparedness by offering an engaging and accessible approach to money management. For many Filipino families, saving money remains difficult as daily expenses take priority over setting aside funds for emergencies or future plans.
Timed around World Savings Day on 31 October, the campaign was shaped by the realities of local saving habits. Drawing on data from Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas that highlighted a need to strengthen financial preparedness, the initiative framed saving around everyday experiences.
"Ipon Moves is far more than a campaign," said Jean Henri Lhuillier, president and chief executive officer of Cebuana Lhuillier.
"It is a strategic movement to drive financial inclusion and empower every Filipino to build long-term capability. This recognition validates our commitment to breaking down barriers and making savings genuinely accessible, relevant, and impactful across every community we reach. At Cebuana Lhuillier Rural Bank, we view financial security not as a luxury but as the foundational bedrock for national resilience and economic mobility," he added.
As part of the initiative, the advocacy visited bank and pawnshop branches nationwide to celebrate local saving efforts. A central feature was the "Wish IPON a Dream" Wall, where clients posted their personal goals and motivations. Some participants were selected to have their written wishes granted by the organization.
The campaign encourages individuals to open savings accounts and build long-term habits through the bank's branch network and digital platforms, using interactive activities and relatable content tied to daily life.
The recognition formed part of multiple distinctions earned by Cebuana Lhuillier at the 2026 International Business Awards across financial services, business development and social impact categories.
Bank officials said the award reinforces their focus on making financial products easier to understand and access, noting that every capital letter P saved brings personal goals closer to reality.
