MOSCOW (AFP) — A total of 620 drones targeted the Moscow region overnight, Russian officials said Tuesday, with several people wounded and buildings damaged.
Russian air defenses destroyed more than 180 drones over the capital region, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
Three people, including a 10-year-old girl, were wounded, Moscow region Gov. Andrey Vorobyov said.
“Tonight and in the morning, air defence and electronic warfare forces were repelling a large-scale drone attack on Moscow region,” he said.
A house burned down in the Pavlovsky Posad district, where officials reported the most serious damage.
A drone also struck a warehouse belonging to e-commerce giant Wildberries east of Moscow.
“The company’s logistics complex in Moscow region sustained minor damage as a result of the attack. Debris hit the wall of the building,” the company said.
Ukraine has struck several Wildberries warehouses in recent weeks, alleging the company supplies components for Russian drones.
