MOSCOW (AFP) — A Ukrainian drone strike on an industrial zone outside Moscow killed five people and wounded 10 others Tuesday, Russian officials said, as Russia and Ukraine exchanged fresh attacks.
Moscow regional Gov. Andrey Vorobyov said several fires broke out after drones struck the Novoselki industrial zone.
“According to preliminary information, five people were killed,” he said on Telegram.
In Russia’s Leningrad region, a drone damaged a warehouse near Krasny Bor, injuring one person, Gov. Aleksandr Drozdenko said. Online retailer Wildberries said its logistics facility in Krasny Bor caught fire after the attack. Another Wildberries warehouse in the Emmaus area also was targeted, regional officials said.
In Ukraine, Russian attacks killed three people in the northeastern city of Sumy, including two children, regional military administration head Oleg Grygorov said.
