The wait for more lightsaber battles, Jedi adventures, and galactic intrigue is almost over. Lucasfilm’s Emmy® Award-winning series Ahsoka is returning for a second season, with its Philippine premiere scheduled for 20 January 2027, exclusively on Disney+.
The announcement was made during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event at the Honda Center in Anaheim, where series creator Dave Filoni appeared alongside stars Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen and Eman Esfandi. The group unveiled the first teaser trailer and poster for the upcoming season, drawing an enthusiastic response from fans.
Dawson is once again stepping into the role of Ahsoka Tano, with the new chapter picking up after the events of the first season. Set during the early days of the New Republic following the Empire’s downfall, the story will further explore Ahsoka’s evolution as a Jedi while bringing her closer to a major threat facing the galaxy: Grand Admiral Thrawn.
The upcoming season will also continue Ahsoka and Sabine Wren’s journey through a mysterious and dangerous part of the galaxy. As the pair search for a way back home, their allies — including Hera Syndulla, Ezra Bridger, Zeb and Chopper — will be left to confront Thrawn and those working alongside him.
With the New Republic potentially facing another devastating conflict, the stakes are expected to be even higher this time around.
Joining Dawson in the cast are Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lars Mikkelsen, Eman Esfandi, Ivanna Sakhno, Rory McCann and Hayden Christensen.
Filoni returns as writer and executive producer, working alongside executive producers Jon Favreau and Carrie Beck. The season’s directors include Filoni, Jennifer Getzinger, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Anders Engström. Karen Gilchrist serves as co-executive producer, while John Bartnicki and Joan Schneider are producers.
The first season of Ahsoka is currently available to stream on Disney+, alongside the wider collection of Star Wars titles.
