A reported stray-dog roundup in a private subdivision in barangay Caysio in Sta. Maria, Bulacan has put several dogs at risk of euthanasia, prompting an appeal for rescuers, adopters and animal welfare groups to step in.
Photos and videos circulating online, uploaded by TikTok user @cupoberry, showed stray dogs being captured and transported to a pound following complaints about stray animals in the subdivision.
The post also appealed to animal shelters, rescue groups, fosters and individuals who could take in dogs in Bulacan or nearby areas.
“If may alam po kayong animal shelter, rescue group, foster, or anyone who can take them around Bulacan or nearby areas, please comment or message me," @cupoberry said.
For animal advocates, cases like this underscore the importance of responsible pet ownership, spaying and neutering, adoption and sustained stray-animal management — not simply catching dogs once complaints arise.
For those who can open their homes and hearts, please consider helping these dogs while there is still time by sending @cupoberry a message on TikTok. Whether through adoption, fostering, rescue, sponsorship or simply sharing their story, every act of kindness could mean the differnce between a dog finding a safe home and losing its life.
