  • National Police Commission (Napolcom) commissioner Rafael Vicente R. Calinisan presented Certificates of Commendation to three police officers Wednesday for their quick action and bravery during a robbery response in Muntinlupa City.

Police Master Sgt. Alvin A. Cordero, police staff Sgt. Lloyd H. Francisco and patrolman John Lee Macaraeg were honored at the Napolcom Central Office in Quezon City following an 11 August incident along East Service Road in Barangay Sucat.

According to Napolcom, the officers confronted an armed robbery suspect who resisted arrest. The officers disarmed and apprehended the suspect without further injury to bystanders.

“Police work is dangerous and often thankless, but Napolcom deeply recognizes officers who perform their sworn duty with excellence and courage,” Calinisan said during the ceremony.

“We salute these officers who responded to a robbery and put their lives on the line. Your courageous acts will not go unnoticed,” he added.

Calinisan added that the awards reflect Napolcom’s ongoing commitment to highlighting professionalism, sound judgment, and public service within the police force.
