4 nabbed in separate Ilocos, Pangasinan drug busts


Four individuals were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in La Union, Pangasinan and Ilocos Sur on 11 August 2026, yielding 6.77 grams of suspected illegal drugs worth an estimated P46,036.
In Agoo, La Union, police arrested a 27-year-old unemployed man and confiscated about 1 gram of suspected illegal drugs valued at P6,800.
Authorities also recovered a cellphone and the P500 bill used as buy-bust money.
In San Carlos City, Pangasinan, two women, aged 35 and 37, were arrested after authorities seized about 4.8 grams of suspected illegal drugs valued at P32,640.
Police also recovered the P500 buy-bust money, P1,000 in boodle money, two cellphones, a coin purse and a plastic bag.
Meanwhile, a 46-year-old construction worker was arrested in Bantay, Ilocos Sur, after allegedly yielding 0.97 gram of suspected illegal drugs valued at P6,596.
Authorities also confiscated the P100 buy-bust money, two photocopied P1,000 bills used as boodle money and a motorcycle.
Police said the evidence from all three operations was inventoried and marked at the respective sites in the presence of the suspects and required witnesses.
The four suspects are expected to face charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
