Thinking of buying a Nintendo Switch 2? You may want to pull the trigger before September.

Nintendo announced that the Switch 2 will get a global price hike starting next month, giving gamers less than a month to grab the console at its current price.

In the US, the Switch 2 will jump from $449.99 to $499.99, a $50 increase. Prices across most of Europe will rise from €469.99 to €499.99, while a new UK price has yet to be announced.

Nintendo blamed “changes in market conditions” and apologized to customers for the increase.

The hike comes as console makers grapple with rising costs for RAM and storage, components also in huge demand for AI data centers. Tariffs and geopolitical uncertainty have added pressure to global supply chains.

Despite the squeeze, Nintendo said the Switch 2 has sold nearly 20 million units since its launch last June.

So if a Switch 2 has been sitting in your cart, September may give you one more reason to hit checkout.
