  • Netizens praised the Weather Alert feature of the eGov PH Super App after First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Friday highlighted the service in a social media video, with users saying it provides timely information that helps them prepare for severe weather.

The First Lady’s post was part of the government’s “One Minute. One Useful Feature. One Less Hassle.” campaign, which showcases the various services available through the eGov PH Super App.

Among those who reacted was a netizen who commended the feature’s usefulness, especially during the rainy season.

“Ang gandang inisyatiba ng ‘One Minute.’ One Useful Feature. One Less Hassle.’ Tama! Ang laking tulong ng Weather Watch sa eGov PH lalo na sa panahon ngayon (It is such a great initiative. Absolutely! Especially in times like these),” the user commented.

    Digitalization wonder

Other netizens also praised the app’s convenience, particularly for accessing government services.

One overseas Filipino worker shared how the app has become essential whenever returning to the Philippines.

“I already have the eGov app, Madam First Lady. As an OFW, whenever we go home for a vacation, we need the eGov app to fill out the eTravel form. Thank you so much, Madam, for reminding us. May God always bless you and grant you good health. Mabuhay! God bless the Bagong Pilipinas always,” the user wrote.

Another commenter highlighted the app’s all-in-one functionality, saying, “With just one tap, the transactions and documents you need are right on your phone!”

The Weather Alert feature provides advisories and updates, enabling users to monitor weather conditions and prepare for heavy rains, floods, and other weather-related hazards.

The government continues to expand the use of the eGov PH Super App as part of its digitalization drive under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is encouraging more Filipinos to maximize the app, which consolidates multiple government services into a single platform for faster and more convenient access.

The DICT is also rolling out digital government initiatives nationwide, including expanded internet connectivity and wider adoption of online public services, to make government transactions more accessible to Filipinos.
