July turned out to be one of the busiest months of the year. It was filled with celebrations, special gatherings and meaningful activities, each offering a story worth telling.

Among the memorable occasions was the birthday celebration of one of Cebu’s top content creators, social media manager and photographer, Paul Ian Javier. Despite having built a wide circle of friends through his online presence, he chose simplicity over grandeur by marking the occasion with an intimate gathering shared with just 10 close friends.

The evening featured Shawarma Gourmet plated dinner where laughter, meaningful conversations and warm camaraderie set the tone for the celebration. Guests raised a toast to Paul’s continued success, good health and happiness. It was a birthday that reflected what matters most to him, not the size of the party but the company of those closest to his heart.

Wine pairing dinners are always something to look forward to, but Entre Costas y Sierras, at the Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort, had a character all its own. The menu celebrated the flavors of both land and sea with each course thoughtfully matched to a wine that brought out the best in every bite.

What made the evening memorable was how naturally the food and wine came together. Fresh seafood, perfectly cooked meats and well-balanced sauces each found their match in a carefully-chosen wine provided by Happy Living. Rather than overpowering the dishes, the wines added depth and highlighted flavors that might have otherwise gone unnoticed.

Beyond the food, the relaxed setting added to the experience. Conversations flowed easily as glasses were refilled and courses arrived one after another. It was the kind of dinner that encouraged guests to slow down, savor every pairing and appreciate the care that went into every detail.

Entre Costas y Sierras was more than another wine pairing event. It was an evening that celebrated good food, fine wine and the simple pleasure of sharing both in great company.
