  • The 22nd Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival and the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) have announced the juries for this year's festival, which runs from 6 to 18 August. Organized by the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the Cinemalaya Foundation, Inc., with support from the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the festival will present nine full-length and 10 short films in competition.

    Main competition jury

Filmmaker Sari Lluch Dalena will head the five-member jury that will select this year's Balanghai Trophy winners. Joining her are independent curator and cultural critic Marian Pastor Roces, Indian filmmaker Pradip Kurbah, Italian producer Lorenzo "Lello" Carvelli, and filmmaker-cinematographer Dan Villegas.

    NETPAC jury

The NETPAC Award will be decided by filmmaker Alvin Yapan, Shanghai Film Academy faculty member Haolun Shu, and director-producer Perci Intalan.

    Festival venues and tickets

Festival screenings will be held at Red Carpet Cinemas in Shangri-La Plaza, Gateway Cineplex, and select Ayala Malls Cinemas in TriNoma, Manila Bay, Glorietta 4, Market! Market!, and Circuit.

Regular tickets are priced at Php350, while students may avail of a Php250 rate. Senior citizens, persons with disabilities, national coaches, and national athletes are entitled to a 20 percent discount. Tickets will be available through partner cinema portals and at participating cinemas.
