  • The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) opened new facilities and deployed operational assets Monday to strengthen aviation safety, security and efficiency across airports nationwide.

    The inauguration and blessing ceremonies covered long-range acoustic hailing devices for the security service, upgraded offices and medical laboratories, and new transport vehicles.

    Under the modernization drive, CAAP acquired HyperSpike HS-18 Long-Range Acoustic Hailing Devices to support emergency communication, airport security, wildlife hazard management, and bird dispersal along airside zones.
