Some crafty hands have turned old plastic bottles into eye-catching art installations as a reminder that recycling can be delightful.

SM malls in Cebu City, Roxas City and Bacolod City showcased some of the plastic arts depicting underwater wonders made from PET bottles.

Posted on the Facebook page of SM Cares, the CSR arm of SM Supermalls, are images of the installations: a giant nautilus created by Roy Ingente and installed in the garden outside the SM Seaside City Cebu, a colorful fish by JCI Roxas Makawiwili and Joey Cabiles inside the SM City Roxas, and a coral by Robert de Aro inside the SM City Bacolod.

The creations were part of the SM Supermalls’ #ArtFromAll project aimed at transforming over 40,000 donated PET bottles into art installations in its malls in the Visayas for a plastic waste-free July.

#ArtFromAll also intended to bring together local artists, community partners and volunteers to drive sustainability and care for the environment.
