The Philippines once again stands at the pinnacle of international pageantry after Katrina Llegado was crowned Miss Supranational 2026 during the competition’s grand finale in Poland, prevailing over 67 delegates from across the globe.
Her victory makes her only the second Filipina to capture the prestigious title, ending a 13-year wait since Mutya Datul’s groundbreaking triumph in 2013. The achievement further strengthens the country’s reputation as one of the world’s most successful pageant nations.
A seasoned competitor, Llegado previously earned the Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2019 title before representing the country on the international stage. She later became The Miss Philippines Supranational, paving the way for her successful campaign in Poland.
Throughout the competition, she consistently delivered standout performances, from the preliminary rounds to the finals, where she advanced from the Top 24 to the Top 12 before securing a place in the final question-and-answer segment.
One of the defining moments of the evening came when she was asked:
“Tell us about the moment you stopped trying to become the woman the world expected, and you started becoming the woman you were really meant to be.”
Without hesitation, Llegado delivered a heartfelt response that resonated with both the judges and the audience.
“I always believe that we should never fit into a mold. We are perfectly imperfect. I am someone who struggles with perfection. But I am here today, doing my best and becoming my best version. And here in Miss Supranational, I know I belong. I know there is a place for me, and this is becoming SUPRA —above and beyond.”
Earlier in the competition, she also impressed during the first round of the finals after speaking about creating meaningful change. Describing herself as a visionary leader, she expressed her desire to inspire women to believe that true greatness begins where limitations end.
From her striking runway appearances and polished stage presence to her sincerity during the interview rounds, Llegado showcased the confidence, authenticity, and purpose that defined her journey from start to finish.
She also became the first queen to receive the newly unveiled Fioletowa Crown, succeeding Brazil’s Eduarda Braum as Miss Supranational.
Now wearing one of international pageantry’s most coveted crowns, Katrina Llegado begins her reign as a global ambassador, carrying with her not only the Miss Supranational title but also the pride, resilience, and aspirations of the Filipino people.
