The 24-meter vessel, the sixth replica of its kind, was made from Philippine ironwood and is named after Filipino yachtsman Florentino Das, who completed a solo trans-Pacific voyage. Believed to be the largest and most modern replica of its kind, B/B Florentino Das undertook one of its most notable expeditions in 2024, sailing from Butuan City to Palawan before reaching Pag-asa Island in the contested waters of the West Philippine Sea.
