Philippine Tennis Academy (PTA) standouts Stefi Marithe Aludo and Louraine Jallorina secured quarterfinal berths in the Oscar J. Hilado J60 World Tennis Championship Week 2 on Thursday at the Colegio San Agustin Tennis Center indoor hardcourts in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

Aludo downed Mikaela Rose Ngu, 6-1, 6-0, to sweep Group C, while Jallorina walked over No. 7 seed Han Frida Siu of Hong Kong for a 3-0 slate in Group G.

Aludo will next face No. 8 seed Sorvisa Kulphisanrat of Thailand, who topped Group H.

Jallorina, on the other hand, will meet No. 1 seed and first leg champion Yerin Lee of Korea, sporting a 3-0 record in Group H.

Also moving to the next round were Jana Jelena Nicole Diaz and wild cards Maristella Torrecampo and Shaner Gabaldon.

Diaz will take on Gabaldon, while Torrecampo will be up against No. 4 seed Seojin Park of Korea.

Under the World Tennis (formerly International Tennis Federation) rules, J60 events use a round-robin format where the top player from each four-player group advances to the quarterfinal stage.

Meanwhile, first leg doubles champions Aludo and Jallorina trounced Sofia Bartolata and Maria Astrid Cablitas, 6-1, 6-1, to advance in the quarterfinals.

Other winners were Kathlyn Ann Bugna and Torrecampo over Michaela Suarez and Zacci Elyce Yuipco, 6-0, 6-0, and Diaz and Indonesian Assyifa Khansa Putri over Ava Isabel Banson and Ma. Angelica dela Cerna, 6-0, 6-1.
